Sweet Autumn Clematis
Sweet autumn clematis–a solid wall of green and white,
full and lush from two small sprouts.
A little bit of love from the gardener, sun, and rain
goes a long way with nature.
These vivid, white, four-petaled blossoms cause me to ponder.
What if they were bright, white stars
scattered throughout a green sky in the middle of the night,
and grass, trees, and shrubs were blue?
Oceans would reflect the sky and also be green, I think.
So, what colors would we be?
Perhaps we’d have skin tones like zinnias, daisies, and orchids
and admire each other’s shade.

(These are the thoughts that rambled through my head while having a throbbing headache.)
