they are confident.

***If you are in the Chicago area, stop by my booth and say hello on Saturday, June 22nd at North Aurora’s Art and Craft Show, Creativity at the Crossroads (25 E State St, Aurora, IL). I’ll be selling my framed photos and books.

My son, artist Joseph Cannella, will also have a booth right next to mine.

So many of them! Seems like a hell of responsibility, but very cute, nonetheless 🙂

    1. Mary K. Doyle

      Right? Maybe they’re all adopted.

  3. Under the mask..

Lovely photo and the wonderful haiku has captured what I love most about wild animal parents: They may be clueless or short-sighted in some catastrophies, but they are indeed confident! 🌹

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Exactly! They just do what’s natural. Thank you for commenting!

There sure are a lot of goslings for one set of parents! The image and haiku are great. I’m sorry I won’t be in the Chicago area to see your booth at the art and craft show, but I wish you and your son good luck. 🙂

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you, Nancy. I would love to meet you in person. It’s supposed to be very hot, so I may have to cut out early. I don’t do well in the heat.

  5. Monkey’s Tale

  19. Chuckster

Yes, very confidant indeed. The ducklings are well managed, safe and content. That is how young ducklings should experience the pond, as should children in any setting!

    1. Mary K. Doyle

So true, Chuckster. Unfortunately, too many of our world’s children are in harm’s way.

  20. Pooja G

That’s so cool, hope it went well for both you and your son.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

We made the best out of the event. The weather was unbearably hot and humid so attendance was low.

      1. Pooja G

I can imagine, I think there has been major heatwaves this summer.

        1. Mary K. Doyle

Fortunately here in the Midwest US, weather never hangs around long. It was 20 degrees cooler yesterday and up and down throughout the week ahead.

  21. jeanvivace

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you, Jean. The same to you. I do love the summer.
