Cantigny Park in Bloom

As you know, I love Cantigny Park in Winfield, Illinois, and the most beautiful time of the year is blooming. Here are some of the beauties I spotted on my last walk there.

Smoke Tree

Beach Tree

Tulip Tree

Benches for resting and enjoying the gardens

Peaceful settings

And of course, all the flowers in an array of colors

Pode até não ser maravilhoso, mas com certeza é pleno de bênçãos universais!!

Glorious Mary. Spring paints a very pretty picture. Is this park close enough that you can enjoy it often. Happy Wednesday. Allan

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Hi Alan, the park is about 20 minutes from my home. It’s always a safe place to walk with cleared, smooth sidewalks in the winter, and it offers beautiful things to look at along the paths. It also is a place that offers as many or as few steps as desired.

  3. Violet Lentz

You have left no doubt in my mind as to why you love it there! Gorgeous!

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you, Violet. They’re always changing the flowers. It is a happy, peaceful spot that isn’t far from home.

  6. CJ Antichow

    Beautiful beautiful 🌸💐

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you, CJ. Is it warm and blooming near you?

      1. CJ Antichow

It was really hot the last week, pretty cool today and last night so we actually had to put all of my potted flowers in the shed overnight so frost wouldn’t get them!
There’s not really any natural vegetation blooming yet, not even the lilacs but hopefully soon!!

  7. capentalc

So beautiful! What a delight to see all this. So many of my favorite flowers!

    1. Mary K. Doyle

We don’t have flowers year-round, as you do, Lauren. So, it is exciting to see them now. Thank you for checking out these beauties.

      1. capentalc

It IS special when you do get to see them, I completely understand. I would be giddy with joy!

  14. Willie Torres Jr.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos, Mary. The flowers and gardens are absolutely gorgeous.

I’ve never been to Cantigny, and honestly, I hadn’t even heard of it until you started sharing pictures from there. But every time you post about it, I can see how special it is. The beauty, the peacefulness, and all the care that goes into it really shine through your photos. It’s definitely a place I’d love to visit someday.

Thank you for letting us enjoy it through your eyes.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

It’s such a great place for me to walk, Willie. I think you’d enjoy it, as well. It isn’t as large or magnificent as the Chicago Botanic Garden, but it is special, nonetheless.

      1. Willie Torres Jr.

Looks beautiful and so Peaceful. I have to make this trip.

  15. Neal Saye

Oh my goodness, Mary! What glorious spring beauty. I especially love the tulip tree!!

  17. Ilze

I wish I would have arch with bench and roses (I will one day)! Beautiful!

    1. Mary K. Doyle

That is one of my favorite spots in the park, Ilze. I hope you get that at your home.

      1. Ilze

Love it, Mary! I think I need to create a pinterest board for what I would love in my garden. It’s black canvas and it’s hard for me to plant something in the middle of field 🙂 but if the structure comes in first like arches, greenhouses, then it’s easier to plant around them 🙂
