Alone, we climb mountains.
Together, we reach stars.
One of my poems has drawn some remarkable traction. My most liked post over the past 12 years of my blog, “Poem—Nature’s Inspiration,” has reached 400 Likes!
The poem is paired with an image from Kevin on the blog, The Beginning at Last. Thank you, Kevin! I’m not certain how this rates on WP, but it exceeds any other post on Midwest Mary. I believe this post’s combination of art and poetry has hit an unusual mark.
I rarely collaborate with anyone except for publishers involved in book production and an advertising agency I worked at for a few years where we developed ad campaigns as a creative team. Typically, I use my photos with my post.

However, Kevin’s image for this special post and seen above is meaningful to me. I relate to the young, thoughtful woman on the bench. Like her, I enjoy working outside in nature because the elements inspire my writing.

In addition, the environment reminds me of the Saint Mary of the Woods campus where I received my Master’s degree.
I recommend you check Kevin’s site. He is a talented writer, image creator, and inspiration to his fellow bloggers.
Kevin posts images every Thursday and allows free use with the only obligation to ping back to him. The following Wednesday he posts the links to all the poetry and stories bloggers created with his designs. The variety and skill level of these posts are fascinating, all stirred by Kevin’s images.
Also, if you haven’t seen and read “Poem—Nature’s Inspiration,” please do. Who knows how many “Likes” this creative combination can attain?
