You too, Ms. Kym. Happiest of Fridays to you.
Thanks a million Mary and may your weekend be as FANtabulous as you are my friend. Hugs and smooches! 😘💖🤗
A beautiful photo. That calm sea invites you to forget about the outside world.
Good point! Let’s do that. Thank you for chiming in.
You are welcome Mary
Truly Wonderful – I wonder how it is there during the Fall Season. I bet it’s beautiful. I need to make it out there one year.
It’s probably a bit chilly, but as you say, Willie, beautiful.
If they decorated it properly, it’ll probably look like one of those Hallmark movie towns.. (Hahaha)
It already does, Willie.
This is beautiful, Mary. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Ada. How are you, my friend?
Hello dear Mary, I am good thanks. The weather has taken a turn here in Scotland and is now quite chilly and dark, but I’m enjoying the autumn (my favorite season!). Hope things are going well with you and your weekend is a peaceful one xxx
Well, then, may your favorite season be the best one yet, Ada.
The flag discloses a strong breeze over the water-just right for sailing! Great pic, Mary. 🙂
Thank you, Nancy. Hugs to you this beautiful Friday.
I love lighthouses!
Thank you, KC. I think lighthouses have a following. Maybe it’s the symbol of a light in the darkness. Thank you for commenting.
Good to see this old structure, Mary.
Thank you, Indira.
C’est magnifique !
Merci!
Very lovely Mary 😊 beautiful shots as always! Happy Friday!
Have a great weekend, Laura. You deserve a break!
Really breathtaking 💙💙💙
Thank you, Luisa. This lighthouse is a little different than the norm.
I found it so beautiful! 💗
Great shot, Mary.
Thank you, Festo, my friend.
Lighthouses are one of my very favorite things! Lovely picture, Mary! Thanks so much for sharing. ❤️
Thank you, Phoebe. Why are lighthouses your favorite? There are so many people drawn to them.
To me they’re like a reminder that beauty can exist even in the most turbulent places. There’s a certain magic in their solitude, standing tall against the crashing waves and relentless storms. They feel like symbols of hope and safety, guiding lost souls to shore… if that makes sense and I’m not just rambling lol
That is so beautifully said, Phoebe. I think you have a poem there! Have the very best weekend, my friend.
I love the steel blue color tying everything together. Very nice photo!
Thank you, Mr. Bird Host. Color is important.
Beautiful shot, Mary! Love it!
Thanks, Kevin, AKA Gorilla.
My pleasure 😊😊
So calm and inviting.
Thank you, Melinda. Let’s hang on to the calm.
I’m trying to not think about the week ahead and focus on today. 🙂
That’s a lovely shot, Mary.
Thank you, Jo. I’m sure you’ve seen your share of lighthouses.
Really love this serene photo 🙂
Thank you, Ms. Marvellous. I think that lighthouses are signs of hope in the dark.
COMPLIMENTI
Gracie!
🙂
What an awesome lighthouse! I love it and boy would I love to just sink myself into the ocean water. Mmmm, so soothing and calming
The lighthouse is in the middle of Lake Michigan which is massive and deep.
I’ve been to Lake Michigan on the Wisconsin side. It looks like an ocean.
You’re right, Dawna. Lake Michigan is massive and deep. We refer to it as one of the Great Lakes. These lakes aren’t like what most people think of as a lake.
You’re so right. It’s not what most think of as a lake. Living on a lake myself, I can honestly say, where I live doesn’t even come close to Lake Michigan.
Lighthouses have such an allure for me as well. This one looks very interesting.
Thank you. I do believe that lighthouses draw great interest.
You have captured it well.🥰
Thank you, Arlene.
stolid, steadfast and serene —

Very moving, very stunning
Thank you, my friend.
The flying bird in the corner, owns the sky.
Sounds like the beginning of a beautiful poem, Samir. Thank you for commenting.
Hi Mary
That would be a great place for our next holiday.

[…] Friday Photo–Lighthouse off of Mackinac Island […]
Great picture. If I could paint, I’d love to do an impressionist pic of this ❤️
That would be beautiful, Darryl. I also wish I could paint.

I read a thriller novel about an Irish lighthouse. It’s supposedly a very lonely job. This photo looks beautiful yet lonely.
I bet a lighthouse job is lonely out in the middle of the water alone. Thank you for chiming in, Robin.
Great shot, indeed …
Thank you. I appreciate your presence here.

Lovely and pointed shot. Thanks.
Thank you. Good to see you here.
Awesome shot
There’s a special magic about lighthouses. Love this one, Mary!
Thank you, Dina. You are right about lighthouse magic. There seems to be a following for them. Thank you for visiting. It is a pleasure to see you.
So many different styles of lighthouses. I was intrigued by the ones I saw on the Hudson River from the train window. This one looks great, but can you imagine running out of supplies out there in the good old days? Happy Saturday Mary. Allan
So true, especially if the lake has ice. Happy Saturday to you, Allan.
Gorgeous photo Mary ❤
Thank you, Carol Anne.
