Poem–Nature’s Inspiration

Nature’s Inspiration

Cozy in my soft scarf and boots
under autumn’s showers of falling leaves
I jot down thoughts for a new poem
before they are lost in my weathered brain.

Nature’s beauty inspires me.
The vibrant colors exhilarate me.
The cool breeze brightens my spirit.
Creativity is freely flowing.

The words are provided like gifts.
I’m tuned into vibrations around me.
All’s perfectly falling in place.
My happiness is here in this moment.

Nature’s serene beauty muted in “showers of fallings” do inspire creativity…particularly in the autumn. I agree, Mary. I love this.

I love everything about this painting and poem. The painting because that’s how I see myself sitting in my garden with a notebook. The words in the poem is what I think when I sit in my garden with my notebook!

  9. Garden Bliss

Such a beautiful and cosy time of year – enjoy.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you. Do you have seasons in Australia?

      1. Garden Bliss

Mary, we have four distinct seasons here in the cooler parts, not so much in the subtropics. The indigenous people say we actually have seven seasons – very interesting.

        1. Mary K. Doyle

That is interesting. The indigenous people may count the transitional periods between seasons. Thank you!

          1. Garden Bliss

Yes, that’s exactly it Mary. 👍

  12. Looking for the Light

I’m ready for the weather to break in Texas, maybe by the end of next month. I will get a chance while in MN and I’m so ready. Sweaters, coat, boots, warm lounging clothes and today I’m deciding what scarves to take. It’s not major cold there but since I’m always freezing it’s a big question. I get to experience Fall and come home to Summer.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

I love the change of seasons, Melinda. Bring the scarves that are soft and cozy! I love that feeling on my neck, and a scarf keeps us surprisingly warm.

Quite an enjoyable poetry. Picture matches the poem. Kevin and Mary are on the same page. Trees shed leaves in autumn, their stems and barks look patchy and bald, like men shed crown in their autumnal years.

Plants become flowery by change in season. Before herbrain ‘becomes weathered’ she likes to write another poem. I look forward to reading that.
