Beautiful Photo 🦅
Thank you, Willie.
You Are Welcome
Beautiful angle Mary! Talk about being at the right place at the right time! 📸🦅📸
It was a lucky shot. Although, I spent hours at that site on multiple occasions.
Well honey, the waiting paid off! It is an AMAZING shot! 🦅
WOW! did you get the photo from around your place? We have amazing Hawks here and I forget the name but they are some type of small eagle. I haven’t seen them much this year but the Hawks are coming back to our birdbath to refresh.
The eagles are right in my town. I took the photo a couple of years ago. At that time, I could watch them and shoot photos for hours. The nest was recently moved to an inaccessible location. Eagles can be seen flying, but they are too far now for my camera to capture.
It’s difficult, you almost have to go where they are plentiful, find the nest and camp out quietly with a tripod to get great photos of. Alaska would be a great place to photograph them.
You are right on all counts, Melinda. But we do have a lot of eagles in Illinois along the rivers. What a blessing.
Yes it is, they are beautiful, stooge and graceful birds.
Very good photo Mary.
Thank you, Freddie.
You’re welcome.
Splendid!
Thank you, Dorothy!
majestic indeed….such a wonderful capture, Mary 🤍
Thank you, Destiny. The eagles are even more impressive in person.
I’ve had the opportunity to see this and I agree…my pleasure, Mary 🤍
Could see his gaze and eyes too,Nice still.
Thank you, Prad!
A awesome capture of this majestic creature!
Thank you, Amy. It is definitely one of my favorite nature photos.
Such a beauty 🦅
For sure, Pooja.
This bird is really big and beautiful. Fantastic photo.
Eagles are humbling to watch especially when they fly over you. Their wing span is massive.
On your post ‘If your going to fly’ was very good information about this amazing bird with awesome photos. I wonder how big nests they make. Have a great weekend Mary!
Thank you for reading the post on eagles, Jean. Eagle nests are about 6 feet in diameter and can weigh a ton. Not any tree can support such a massive home. You also have a great weekend, Jean.
Beautiful photo, Mary!
Thank you, T’.
My pleasure.
Majestic is the perfect word!
Thank you, GP. It is a beauty!
Great image of America’s regal national bird, Mary. 🙂

You’re so very welcome!! been trying to capture my hawk that visits but he’s busy🤔lol
My son says that nature photography is like hunting. We sit silently, watch, and wait.
oh he is soooo right! Tell your son I Love that💗
Oh wow. An amazing creature!
Yes, Stephanie. Eagles are so impressive to watch.
Very stunning photo, you always on the mark
Thank you, Mister Maxxx. That photo was a long time coming. Hundreds of shots before that one.

Wow! What an extraordinary sight and excellent photo of our national bird!
Thank you. I watched the eagles for years. It was a fabulous opportunity to see them.
So beautiful photo this 🕐
Thank you, Birendra.
So good! Curious – was it just landed or just about to take off? (I like the ambiguity regardless). Linda xx
It was just to take off. Timing is everything in photography. Most is just luck, even after hours of watching and waiting.
Luck and skill, I would say, the shot was perfection. xx
Incredible photo!
Eagles are so beautiful. All over the world. We have the Wedge tail eagle and their wingspan is over 6ft but they are magnificent in flight like yours.
Great bird and photo.
