Poem–Life Renews

Life Renews

Like a child playing the game, “I Spy,”
I searched for signs of life.
No matter how cold the past winter,
spring returns with new growth
and the assurance that life renews.

Green shoots courageously push
their way up and above the soil.
Buds develop ever so slowly
and, before we know it,
they do, indeed, bloom.

Bright white, sunny yellows,
perky pinks and purples.
Little flowers face the sun
to show off their beauty
in all the colors of the rainbow.

Every find is a joyful discovery.
Every blossom makes me smile.

Funny how spring returns without any help from man. Ours will be a bit later and after several more snow storms, but soon, dandelions will be here. Happy Wednesday Mary. Allan
