Gratitude

Spirits are lifted
while dwelling on our blessings
rather than our wants

Happy Thanksgiving my dear readers. I’m grateful for all of you especially those who take the time to read my posts, comment, and/or like posts. The more I get to know you, the more you become a part of me. I think and pray for you often.

Please know that I try to read all of my fellow bloggers’ posts beginning with people who comment, then those who like my posts, and then all of the others. I receive more than 1,000 emails a day, so if you post multiple times a day, or I miss you, I apologize.

May the Lord bless and protect you. Happy Thanksgiving.

    Is the thanks that warms the giver’s goal.
    For what greater gift than a heart’s pure light,
    Illuminating the darkest night?

    The hands that create, the mind that dreams,
    Are gratitude enough in the silvery streams
    Of passion’s fire, of hope’s own flame,
    That never asks for worldly fame.

    In your joy, the greatest thanks I find,
    More precious than treasures of gold or mind.
    For a soul at peace, a spirit free,
    Is the truest gift one can be.

    I’ve allowed to plunder one of my own works 🙂
