This is such a profound message Mary my dear. 🥰 That photograph speaks volumes! What a fabulous shot! 📸

    1. Mary K. Doyle

The sweet little finch posed for me. She was patient and allowed me to keep shooting. I kept telling her how beautiful she was and how I wanted to show everyone. She was a model, for sure. 🙂 Love you, my friend.

  17. Drops of Ink

This really resonates with me. It’s a great reminder to keep things simple and stay true to ourselves, even when life gets overwhelming. Sometimes, the best advice is the most straightforward. Thanks for sharing your words! 🌸

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Thank you, Phoebe. It was one of the lessons I learned from my husband when he had Alzheimer’s. In the end, that was all he had. He couldn’t remember the past so didn’t think about it. And he never pondered the future. I realized that it he actually had it right.

      1. Drops of Ink

That must have been so difficult for you both. 🫂🫂❤️

        1. Mary K. Doyle

It was a very long, stressful, and exhausting 15 years. I still have nightmares that Marshall has Alzheimer’s and I can’t care for him properly.

          1. Drops of Ink

Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine what that’s like for you, Mary. 🫂🫂❤️

          2. Mary K. Doyle

Marshall passed away five years ago. I am beginning to remember the good times again.

      1. johnlmalone

I’ve got quite a few quotes — Buddhist and otherwise — up my sleeve 🙂 if only I could conjure another post 🙂

        1. Mary K. Doyle

Maybe, base a post on one of your quotes.

          1. johnlmalone

  28. festo_sanjo

Such a simple yet, so misunderstood message… the mind is tricky at clinging in the past, that it attaches feelings, emotions, and nostalgia that tends to make us believe we are experiencing them in the now. I try to remind myself more often that I only have NOW.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

So true, Festo. Thank you for reading and adding to the discussion.
