Will try not to sting. πŸ™‚

That’s one long stinger! This year I tried these fake hanging Wasp/Horney nest and they are doing a good job. We have had some huge hornets here over the past couple of years and that’s the last thing I want to get stung by.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

You don’t need another health problem, for sure. I’m glad the fake nests work.

  3. Indira

    πŸ™‚ This is good..

  4. Dorothy’s New Vintage Kitchen

    Love it!
I had a long talk with my honeybees yesterday. We are having some construction done on our patio and they seemed to have left the premises. But I found them swarming my fennel flowers and we had a nice chat; they we used to the noise finally and decided the pollen was more important than the bother of the noise.

This is so nice, I always try to coexist with the living things around me but some bugs freak me out a little. Like roaches.

  6. Nancy Homlitas

As long as these insects are outside and not on my body, they will keep their thoraxes three dimensional. πŸ™‚

    1. Mary K. Doyle

      Haahaha. Yep! Thank you, Nancy.

  7. Dawna

Beautiful photo and how true your words are. We can co-exist. I believe with all my heart that’s what God intended, however, man has decided in many ways to not respect the boundaries of animals, insects, bugs, etc., therefore, they are always on guard and sometimes, attack out of fear, even when we mean no harm.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Hugs

    1. Mary K. Doyle

I’m sure you’re right, Dawna. They really don’t bother me. I just thought it was cute.

      1. Dawna

They truly are a magnificent creator.

        1. Mary K. Doyle

          Thank you, dear Dawna.

  10. Rosaliene Bacchus

Since I began gardening, I’ve come to respect and co-exist with the bees around me. They seem to know that I mean them no harm.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

I think you are right, Rosaliene. They really don’t bother me.

  11. Destiny

wonderful: a little miracle of compression πŸ™‚

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Bees and wasps actually don’t bother me. But I know their little stinger causes most people anxiety. Thank you for commenting, John.

      1. johnlmalone

I like your material; looking forward to your next post πŸ™‚

        1. Mary K. Doyle

  13. Edward Ortiz

A tough one, Mary. I’m not sure I can coexist with those things.

    1. Mary K. Doyle

Hahaha. Edward, you are bigger and stronger than a wasp. It will be OK, my friend.

      1. Edward Ortiz

I know. It’s probably PTSD from all the times I got stung by them while growing up in Puerto Rico.

        1. Mary K. Doyle

That may be! They like you.

          1. Edward Ortiz

I guess they like me a lot. πŸ˜‚
