Adaptability
Amazing how adaptable we are
rooting down firmly
bending with the wind
reaching for the sun
and soaking up rain
regardless of storms
rumbling thunder
lightning strikes
biting northern temps
and mounting snowfall.
Our battle wounds
are signs of victory
revealing our strengths
noting our journey
showing tolerance
and the power of survival
