lovely photos Mary!
Thank you.
Very welcome, Pat
Beautiful photos Mary!
Thank you, Maranda. The new WP comment layout is making it difficult to see these comments and know which ones I’ve responded to. I’m sorry for the late response.
Amazing and lovely photos, Mary! I can feel the essence of winter and the cold. Happy weekend ❤️
Hi Laura, I’m sorry I missed your comment. The new layout is difficult. Much love to you.
If the landscape belongs to whoever looks at it, I appropriate your magnificent photos to enter that hidden world of the beauty of living nature. Enjoyed your blog Mary.
Thank you for your poetic response! I’m sorry for not responding sooner. I’m missing a lot of comments with the new WP layout.
Don’t worry Mary. I understand.
Lovely pictures of beautiful nature. Maggie
Thank you, Maggie. Have a fabulous weekend.
Lovely, Mary! That tree trunk is a wonderful example of nature’s simple beauty in everyday life! 💜😊🌲
Sometimes we see more when the leaves are gone. Hugs to you, Ada.
Variety of patterns…good observation!
That’s right! You like patterns, don’t you, Indira? Hugs to you.
I love the shad roof, very cool. I’m publishing a post next week about Alzhiemer’s and I’ve included the books you’ve written and a link to all of your books. I’ll let you when I publish. 🙂
Thank you so much! It’s an important topic to family caregivers. They work so hard to figure things out on their own. Love to you, Melinda.
please let me know when you post about alzheimer’s or even just put your blog address here in a comment. i have an interest in alzheimer’s and dementia in general.
Hi Susan. My blog name is Midwest Mary.
I forgot to say that I have many post about Dementia because my Granny had it and died from it. 🙂
thank you. i will check it out.
Amazing pic
Thank you. Have a great weekend.
Love your Posts, Mary. I cannot always comment
Thank you. That means a lot to me. I’m sorry you can’t always comment. WordPress can be difficult to work with.
Looking good for winter, Mary. Here we are still snow covered, but above freezing and freezing rain is falling right now. Sure glad I’m not driving anywhere right now. Have a great Friday. Allan
Sometimes, driving is rough for me on good weather days, as well.
My favorite is the bridge. I am so fascinated with bridges. My second favorite is the waves in the water. There’s always something about water that I am drawn too.
Enjoy the day my friend
Hugs
Water is calming, isn’t it? I guess unless it’s flooding. 🙂
So very true. Flooding is not a good thing at all.
Lovely gray!
Thank you, Neal. Happy Friday.
So much beautiful texture!
Thank you, Dorothy. I wanted to see the beauty when the river area is devoid of its finery.
Interesting walk! The circular tree is my favorite image. 🙂
Mine too, Rosaliene. Crazy way to grow. Have an awesome weekend, awesome friend.
Beautiful photos, Mary!
I hunted for beauty because overall, the river looked drab.
Like being there! So very beautiful and calming. Thank you for sharing and a wonderful weekend to you, Mary. 🙏🏻
The same to you, dear Michele. 🙂
Thank you! 🌻
Beautiful pictures.
Thank you, Gustavo. I hope all is well with you.
These are all lovely.
Thank you, Pooja. Do you get a winter season?
Unfortunately not, I miss it a lot since it was my favourite season when I was in Canada. Here it’s more like monsoon.
I love the “Waves in the water” picture. Wonderful post, Mary.
Thank you, Edward. Winter has its own charm.
Indeed.
Lovely photos, absolutely love them!
Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
These are wonderful!
I don’t know. Just looking for unusual beauty. Have a great weekend.
You too!
Mary, beautiful pix. Think my favs are Tree Trunk and the bridge. Gives such an impression of rest, slumber… while the sun is off warming the southern hemisphere, nature here is taking a nap. Gray sky, water, trees…good day for a fire and a cup of tea 😎
Ah, yes. May I join you for tea? Sounds perfect.
Absolutely! “The kettle’s on the boil.” ☕️ 😎
Ah, thank you, Darryl.
[…] irresistible (and impossible) question! Thanks so much for asking this, Mary Doyle, as I can’t think of a single thing I’d like to do more than write about this […]
I like autumnal moods in general. These photos look beautiful to me.
Great! Thank you, Hubert.
Poetic still and cold vibe to start new year, intriguing tone and time, what you thinking about?
Hello my friend. I look for beauty in however the Lord presents it.
Just was thinking about you through metaphors of life and themes you’ve shared
That’s the fun of a writer/photographer. No one knows if we are being literal or metaphorical.
You like that I approach you through various waves
Agreeing with comments below, Mary. These photos are wonderful wonderful! ❤
Just trying to find the beauty in dreary winter walks. How is packing coming along?
Well-trained eye, Mary. You found a lot of beauty.
Packing is a little slow due to work the last few days, but I sold some books, including the Proust set, so it’s moving along! Tomorrow I begin sorting the kitchen. I don’t have to rush, thankfully. 🙂
Just beautiful, Mary. One of those posts that demands careful reflection rather than quick scrolling. I learned through this post about the books you have published about caring for your husband and about caring for someone with alzheimer’s. i’m glad to discover your books.
Welcome Susan. I have a post coming up on Alzheimer’s, maybe next week. Have you searched my blog? I have about a dozen articles on the topic. I’m most concerned for caregivers and ways to help them help their loved ones. Are you caring for someone with this disease?
O Mary: these are splendid specimens of ‘different, eccentric , unique’ : each has its own individual pattern, its sometimes skewed symmetry —
Thank you, John. Nature is an incredible artist.
Love these dramatic shots of your Mary.😍
Thank you, Arlene. I was on a mission to spot some beauty and interest on that dreary day.
Sorry, that should be ‘yours’.
Beautiful pic
Thank you!

Absolutely, Mary.
On the contrary, all photos of nature are important and significant.
