    Through rain that feeds, and sun that scorches dry.
    Each season turns and shapes the course of life,
    Revealing place and purpose, far and nigh.

    For pain, though sharp, makes bliss more deeply known,
    And in its contrast, joy can brightly burn.
    Too much of bliss, when left to overflow,
    Can sow a restless ache for balance yearned.

    As Spring and Summer warm what seeds have sown,
    So Autumn’s gold and Winter’s quiet call,
    Each gift and trial by God’s own hand is shown,
    And life’s own rhythms guide and steady all.

    Together we must learn to laugh and sing,
    For unity brings light where shadows fall;
    Yet solitude, in equal measure, brings
    A peace that lets our souls grow strong and tall.

    The world moves round in cycles, waves, and stars—
    A wisdom bound in ocean, sky, and earth;
    All things, in balance, show how vast we are,
    How everything has sense, and endless worth.

      I love this song. Sometimes, we sing it in church. When I was on a pilgrimage to Israel and Italy, our little tour group sang it after mass in a chapel of Saint Francis.
