That’s Cancun, not the old Cancun from 30 years ago but even then it was a tourist trap. What I loved was driving up the coast to Tulum, there was only one place to stay and it was a bit of a shanty. The water is the most beautiful and the ruins blew my mine. That’s what I love about the area, and mostly Cozumel for diving. It’s been ages since I’ve been there and not doubt it’s totally different. One place I will never go again is Jamaica. It’s a rough and dangerous place once you leave the hotel. The Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is my fav and I stocked up while there, saved so much money. Now I drink Kona. Have a great day.

I have to return to Cancun for the real Mexico. I have been to Mexico City and Acapulco, as well. My daughter-in-law is Mexican and grew up visiting family there. Maybe someday . . . Whatever. I had a fabulous time and wished for a longer stay.

I would never go to Mexico City, that’s a death trap. I’ve known people in the past who one to Acapulco but I haven’t been there. If you wan to see another town that is old town, go to Cozumel. It was very small, much smaller than Cancun. It became a tourist town following in Cancun’s footstep. I’m sure she knows so me great places to go that I have never seen or heard about. The Aztec people were true builders for life. I love seeing the ruins, thinking about their influence, all the questions unanswered questions about their knowledge. I deeply respect the roots of the area. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mexicans are hard workers. And they will do dirty work most Americans feel too good to do.

      3. Looking for the Light

You’re right. They are hard workers, they love their families and want a good life. I have a hard time seeing the true poverty and begging, it breaks me inside. Life is dramatically different across the world. I’m so over blessed! Amen. Thank you God. I say that all day long when I see his work at hand. ๐Ÿ™‚

I pray that one woman who went to Berkley wins the Presidential election. She might be able to make a dent. If she can curd the amount of guns and drugs into America I will jump for joy. That’s a task that has not been accomplished but women can get things done!
