Passing Through the Tough Stuff

Today is a painful, fibromyalgia day for me–body aches from head-to-toe and fatigue. The good news is, like most of life’s trials, it will pass.

No one escapes the tough stuff whether it is physical or emotional. However, as my sister, Patti, says, “It’s not what happens to us but what we do about what happens that matters.” We easily can make a difficult situation more trying if we resist or revolt rather than work through it. When we continue to move one step at a time through a troubling situation, we soon find ourselves at the other end of that tunnel.

For me, that means a quiet day at my desk with a positive outlook knowing I soon will see you on the bright side, my friends.

You have alway amazed me how you handle your pain. Never complaining just doing what you have to do and hoping that the next day will be a better day. I have never heard you complain.. you are a very strong person.

Fibromyalgia is a tough task master Mary. My Patty used to suffer such agony before getting on the protocol. It is still not a cure and can not reverse the osteoarthritis, but she can certainly function better. Taking time to deal with things step by step is the way to go. Hope you are able to feel better. It’s interesting that you read and commented on this old post, Allan. I’ve been in constant pain since June. I’m seeing a functional medicine doctor who believes I’ve had Lyme disease for decades, and the Lyme triggers the fibromyalgia. I went through treatment last year after testing positive, but I had a tick bite this past June while camping with my daughter and have had issues since then. So, treatment again. Thank you for caring, my friend.

A lecture by Dr. Paul St. Amand set Patty on the path to less pain. Not sure if you have seen this, but here is a link to the book. https://www.amazon.ca/What-Your-Doctor-About-Fibromyalgia/dp/153871325X I wish some relief for you dear friend. Have a good evening Mary. Allan

Thank you, Allan! I will check this out. I’m glad Patty has found some relief. Give her a “gentle” hug from me, please.

Patty says she will happily answer any questions you may have.

I’m curious about your thoughts and comments.
