No Time Like the Present

After a series of emergency room and doctor visits and expensive, uncomfortable, and time-consuming medical tests, I have answers. Uncontrolled asthma and an underactive thyroid is the cause of an array of health issues and overall feeling of being unwell for several months, if not years.

My husband’s health is a daily concern of mine, and yet I ignored my own. I waited until it got out-of-control. If it was anyone else, I’d tell them they can’t fully meet their other responsibilities if they don’t care for themselves first. Instead, I caused undo worry for my daughters and sisters, months of struggles for myself, and put my long-term health at risk.

Life in general is like this. If we don’t address the little things, they fester into mountains. The situation may appear scary, expensive, emotionally draining, or difficult to deal with but will cost you so much more in the long run.

So do as I say and not as I do. Care for your health, spiritual, relationship, work, financial, and legal needs now.
