Poem–Are You with Me?

Are You with Me?

When I remember you and smile
will you be happy too?

When I am quiet
will I hear you call my name?

When I am still
will I see you walk past me?

When I am sad
will I feel your arms around me?

When a decision must be made
will I know how you would guide me?

When insecurity holds me back
will I sense your gentle nudge?

When I dream
will you join me at the table?

When I am lonely
will you warm the center of my heart?

When I pray for you
will you rest in eternal peace?

When I leave this world
will you welcome me to yours?
