Yes, caring for people with dementia is demanding. I’ve both worked with people with dementia and my mother and my aunt suffered from it. It’s difficult sometimes but I loved when the person who they were looked through the fog. And I always tried to talk about what they remembered instead of what they didn’t remember. And, after my one hour visit to my aunt, she was much more her old self than who she was when I arrived. The care for people with dementia will be even more important in the furutre since us humans are living longer. So, let’s hope for the future. Thanks for sharing π
