Wow! That looks a lot like a bird we call Hadeda or Ibis here in Africa.

I’ll have to look up those birds. Where are you in Africa?

I am in Cape Town but they range all over the southern regions. Interestingly the Ibis was once worshipped in Egypt if my memory of school lessons is correct. This leads me to believe that they are migratory. I wonder if migrating birds pause in a comfortable climate and breed for a few generations, then forget their origins. Who knows?
